Richard Drobnick, LCSW, is the Director of the first Mars & Venus Counseling Center in Bergen County and Northern New Jersey. He has been serving Bergen County as a practicing counselor/psychotherapist for more than 20 years. Mr. Drobnick formerly held the position of staff psychotherapist at the Hackensack University Medical Center from 1979 to 1982. He has been in private practice since 1982 with main offices located in Teaneck, New Jersey. Richard has focused his work exclusively with adults in individual, group, and couples counseling. In addition to his experience as a clinician, he has served for several years as Senior Staff Instructor at the former postgraduate training center, Gestalt Unlimited. Mr. Drobnick is also well known as a lecturer, seminar leader, consultant, and peer supervisor. Mr. Drobnick has studied and integrated the theories and practice methods of many leaders in the fields of individual and couples counseling. Although Mr. Drobnick continues to specialize in individual and group psychotherapy, more and more of his attention over recent years has focused on couples counseling. Richard is one of a select few professionals nationwide personally trained and licensed by Dr. John Gray. This superb training has made his work with couples especially rewarding and effective. Richard lives with his wife, Morrisa Drobnick, LCSW, also an accomplished counselor, and their two children,  Silver and Selena, in Bergen County, Northern New Jersey.
